Be on the Wall at Walgreens

FAIR NATION, Walgreens has an awesome opportunity to have your work featured in their stores! Submit an uplifting art piece with a chance to win money if your piece is selected! The art can be on any topic you would like such as social justice issues, self-esteem, bullying, gender identity, and more. You don’t need to submit the original piece, a photograph of the art piece will work! 18 works will be selected. Eight will receive $200 and 10 that will be featured in a collage will receive $50. Submissions should be sent in no later than October 23rd to Wugalde@goldstarc.com with the following information: 

  • Name
  • Title of the art 
  • School/Organization
  • Short description of the work
  • Mention that you were referred by Hennepin Theatre Trust

Fall Conference Information 2020

FAIR Fall Conferences Information/Información de las conferencias de otoño FAIR

FAIR conferences will be held next week on Tuesday, October 13 from 4:00pm-8:00pm and on Wednesday, October 14 from 8:00pm-4:00pm.  Families can choose Google Meet or phone conferences.  We will do our best to connect with all families in the limited time we have and we appreciate your patience as we learn a new format.  If you are unable to attend conferences, we will work with you to find an alternate time.

Note:  There is no school for students October 14 -16, 2020.  School will resume on October 19, 2020.

How to schedule your student’s conference - (en español a continuación)

  1. Sign up link- click on a staff member’s name to see available times: https://www.myconferencetime.com/fairschooldt

  2. Help video: https://www.myconferencetime.com/info/help/video-how-to-sign-up/ or call 612-486-2530 for assistance.

  3. Google Meet links will be sent to your email for each conference

  4. Phone conferences will come from a 617 area code (we are routed through Massachusetts)

  5. We encourage you to check your student’s grades in Parent Portal.  If you have not accessed Parent Portal before, here is the link to create your account. https://sisportal.mpls.k12.mn.us/

  6. If you are unable to attend your conference, please go to https://www.myconferencetime.com/fairschooldt and cancel.

  7. If you need assistance with online conference registration, please call our Distance Learning Help Center at 612-486-2530 

 

Las conferencias en Fair se llevarán a cabo la próxima semana el martes 13 de octubre de 4:00pm-8:00pm y el miércoles 14 de octubre de 8:00pm4:00pm. Las familias pueden elegir Google Meet o conferencias telefónicas. Haremos todo lo posible para conectar con todas las familias en el tiempo limitado que tenemos y apreciamos su paciencia a medida que aprendemos un nuevo formato. Homework Help: Tuesdays and Thursdays 4-6 at Farview Park

7-10 year olds- time for younger distance learners to come together in a small group setting to work on their academics. This time can be used for peer to peer help and support or for homework help and support from the program staff. Register online (ages 7-10)

11-16 year olds-time for teen distance learners to come together in a small group setting to work on their academics. This time can be used for peer to peer help and support or for homework help and support from the program staff. Register online (ages 11-16)
 

Homework Help: Wednesdays 3-5 at North Commons Park

6-16 year olds--time, the place, and the assistance to ensure your child completes their homework completely and correctly. Our friendly staff is available to help you tackle your homework so that you succeed in school. We assist with homework, practice basic skills, or help in studying for an upcoming test. Please go to your neighborhood recreation center during business hours to sign up for a free ActivePass.
